Designing Women

Nancy Peck, the owner of Designing Women, started operating an interior design business from her home in 1996. After consulting with her attorney, Nancy chose to form a Sole Proprietorship because it was simple and inexpensive to form.

Nancy has seen tax advantages from this structure for the first few years of operating her business but might consider changing the structure as her business grows.

In 1998, Designing Women outgrew Nancy’s home and she decided to expand – opening a full service interior design studio. Nancy tapped into professional business assistance from CAP Services to expand Designing Women.
